Through this service, the healthcare facility can apply to amend the engineering plans of the healthcare facility and choose the required change as follows:

  • Change of layout.
  • Change of location.
  • Change of specialization.
  • Changing number of beds --> only applies to HFL category = hospital or day surgery.
  • Changing types of beds.
  • Changing facility type.

Service Summary:

Through this service, the healthcare facility can apply to amend the engineering plans, location, specialties and number of beds.

Required Documents:

  • Updated engineering layout / plans.
  • NOC Letter for the required change.
  • Other supporting documents.

Conditions & Requirements:

  • Only facilities with active license, active initial approval, or active extension approval can access amendments.
  • license or initial approval or approval extension must have more than thirty days remaining before expiry date.

Service Process:

  • Application Submission.
  • Application Review.
  • Inspection Assignment and schedule if needed.
  • inspection Execution.
  • Final decision.

Service Output:

  • Health update operating permit for the health facility / with update.
  • Stamped updated layout.

Service Fees:

  • Add Specialty / Bed / Service
    • AED (6,000) for up to 3 specialties in Health Centers
    • AED (5,000) for up to 3 specialties in Rehabilitation centers
    • AED (6,000) for up to 3 specialties in Diagnostic Centers
      • AED (100) for each additional specialty beyond the third
  • Request to Change Location / Layout / Redesign of a Healthcare Facility
    • AED (1,000) for Initial Application review
    • AED (500) for Engineering drawing Modification
    • AED (2,000) Request for Final inspection
    • AED (1,000) Request for re-inspection

  • 2 working days.
